Final conference of the project Bike for tourism without borders |

Development Agency of Sisak-Moslavina County
SI-MO-RA organised on 29. November 2012. „Final conference of the project Bike
for tourism without borders” in Kutina.
Tourist visit of Kutina was organised for
the participants. During the official part of the conference the results of the
project were presented as well as the inventarisation of tourist potential of
Sisak-Moslavina County and the part of B&H covered by the project. The
participants of the conference also visited the Vinski dvor Kutina where the
work of the Association of Moslavina wine makers was presented.
It was concluded that the development of
cycling infrastructure, promotion of cycling routes in accordance with EuroVelo
and cross-border co-operation on similar projects should be continued. Goran
Gugić, head of NP Lonjsko polje emphasised that thanks to these new facilities a
cycling season will be prolonged which is the intent of this project.
On Croatian side the following results have
been reached within the project:
- Five resting spots set up in
NP Lonjsko polje
- Thirty bikes purchased for NP
Lonjsko polje
- Two rent-a-bike stations set
up in NP Lonjsko polje
- Four Internet kiosks
purchased
- Currently 310 km of cycling
routes being marked
- Study trip to NP Lonjsko
polje
- Demo tour NP Kozara – NP

The project „Bike for tourism without
frontiers“ was developed under the EU IPA Programme of cross-border co-operation
Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project overall objective is to contribute
to integration and revitalisation of economy of the cross-border area in order
to enhance its sustainable development. The project will end with implementation
on 31.12.2012.
The lead partners on the project are
Development Agency of Sisak-Moslavina County SI-MO-RA and Agency for economic
development of Municipality of Prijedor PREDA-PD, together with their partners:
Nature park Lonjsko polje, Tourist bord of Sisak-Moslavina County, Town of
Hrvatska Kostajnica and Municipality of Jasenovac in Croatia and National park
Kozara, Tourist Bord of Municipality of Prijedor and Tourist Board of Kozarska
Dubica in BiH.

Bilateral meeting in Prijedor |
|
Bilateral meeting of Development agency SI-MO-RA and Agency for economic development of Prijedor municipality will be held in Prijedor this week. The staff will discuss the BIKE4TWF project and demo biking tour Mrakovica-Lonjsko polje that is planned to take place on 14.09.2012. The project was created within the IPA CBC Programme Croatia- Bosnia and Herzegovina 2007-2013. The aim of this project is the development of tourism in the cross-border area of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of Nature park Lonjsko polje and National park Kozara in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Final Investor
Outreach
conference was planned as an overview of results of Outreach missions
implemented from March to June 2012 as a part of EU-IPA project
„Development of investment climate“.
Eight
missions were carried out in the said period – three in Europe and
USA and two in the Far East. The Missions were attended by 16
representatives of 8 counties with support from three employees of
the Ministry of Economy. Some Missions were accompanied by the
representatives of the private companies.
During
56 business meetings with selected companies and organisations the
delegations presented projects from the sectors that have the highest
potential for attracting foreign investors in the respective
counties. The selected sectors are: ICT, semiconductor industry,
metal processing industry, logistics with added value, fish breeding
and food processing, food (sweet potatoes) and wood industry.
